Starting in November 2025, in Galveston MSC inaugurates homeporting operations with the ship MSC Seascape. RCI Galveston Terminal was initially scheduled for completion/inauguration on September 1, 2022, but was officially opened on November 9th. The new facility is co-owned (50-50) by RCG and Ceres Terminals Inc (provider of stevedore and terminal management services, part of Ceres Terminal Holdings LLC). Ceres currently provides for RCG similar services at Port Canaveral, Tampa, Port NOLA/New Orleans and Baltimore. The USD 125 million (~EUR 107M) project was approved on December 11, 2019.

Most lots are at ~10-min drive/30-min walk distance from the Port. Near the cruise port are the lots of EZ Cruise Parking, Galveston Park N Cruise, Falstaff Cruise Parking, Discount Cruise Parking. The Strand Historical District is the town’s prime shopping spot, where 19th-century storefronts now house a quirky collection of locally owned gift shops and antique stores.
To drop off passengers or pick up, head into the port entrance at the intersection of 22nd Street and Harborside Drive. From there, it’s as simple as following the signs to the correct area for passengers to get out. If traveling with a larger group, then these options can be cheaper as they charge by the car while shuttles charge per person.

Uber and Lyft both operate in Galveston, making it easy for passengers to request a ride directly from their smartphones. Royal Caribbean also operates from Galveston, offering a variety of cruises including seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries. The Liberty of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean’s largest ships sailing from Galveston with amenities such as a rock-climbing wall, FlowRider surf simulator, and multiple pools. One advantage of Terminal 10 is that it will provide even more options for travelers when choosing their preferred cruise line.
